When a broker search doesn’t work
What “Couldn’t search” and other broker search messages mean, and what you can do about each one.
On Removal, each broker under Broker by broker shows what happened. Here’s what the common messages mean.
Something you can fix
- “Their search needs a detail you haven’t added, like your city.”: add it as a City / region in Settings → Identifiers, then choose Search brokers now.
- “Possible match”: Frame found your name but can’t tell if it’s you. Answer under “Is this you?”.
Something on the broker’s side
- “The site blocked the search.” or “The site’s CAPTCHA stopped the search.”: the broker stopped automated searches. Check their site yourself with the steps under View steps.
- “Their search is behind a paywall.” or “Their search needs an account.”: Frame won’t pay or sign up for you.
- “This broker has no public search, so Frame can’t check.”: follow the opt-out steps anyway if you think you’re listed.
- “The broker’s site is offline.”: try another day.
Patience helps
Frame searches each broker at most once a day, so a second search the same day won’t change much. See broker searches for how searching works.
