Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions people ask most.
Do you sell my data?
No. Frame doesn’t sell, rent or trade personal information, and doesn’t run ads.
Can I use Frame to look someone up?
No. Frame only checks details you prove are yours, and the agent refuses to search for anyone else. That’s what keeps it from becoming a people-search tool itself.
Can the agent change my accounts?
No. It investigates and explains what it found. It never changes your accounts and never sends anything without you. It can make mistakes, so double-check anything important.
Why don’t I have a Privacy Score?
Frame scores you once it has checked something for you: a data broker search, a breach check or a leak test. See Exposure reports and your Privacy Score.
Does Frame send removal requests for me?
Not yet. Frame searches data brokers for you and shows where you’re listed, but it doesn’t send removal requests yet. It guides you through each broker’s own opt-out and tracks it. See Removing your data from brokers.
Why aren’t my phone numbers scanned?
Verifying a phone needs a text-message service that isn’t set up yet. Until then, phones aren’t scanned.
How many agent messages do I get?
Free includes 15 a month. Frame Plus and Household include 300 a month for each person. A Thorough answer counts as one message, like a Quick one. Your allowance resets every month.
Who is behind Frame?
One founder, and Frame is 100% Canadian-owned. Messages sent through the contact page are read by the person who builds Frame, usually within one business day.
Does Frame work outside Canada?
Yes. Frame works in Canada, all 50 US states and Europe, and its broker catalog covers people-search sites in all three. Requests cite PIPEDA or Quebec’s Law 25 in Canada, the CCPA/CPRA in California, the GDPR in the EU and EEA, and the UK GDPR in the UK; elsewhere in the US they’re a plain deletion request. Set where you live in Settings → Profile so Frame cites the right law. Prices are in Canadian dollars.
Is Frame available in French?
Yes. The site, the app and the browser extension are in English and Canadian French. Switch language in Settings → Appearance → Language, or from the site footer.
