If someone is trying to find or harm you
Careful steps for people facing stalking, abuse or harassment, what Frame can and can’t do, and Canadian and US organizations that help.
If you’re in danger
Call 911 now. For a mental health crisis in Canada or the US, call or text 988. Frame isn’t an emergency service and no one watches your account in real time.
Before you change anything
- Use a device and an email account the other person can’t get into.
- Removing listings, changing passwords or turning on new sign-in alerts can tip off someone who watches your accounts. Plan the timing with an advocate if you can.
- Write down what you find, with dates, before you delete it. It may help with a report or a court order.
What Frame can help with
- Find data brokers that list your address and follow the opt-out guides.
- See which breaches include your email, and what to do next.
- Review your sign-ins and sessions, and lock down accounts with the Account lockdown checklists.
- Give out email aliases instead of your real address.
What Frame can’t do
Frame doesn’t send removal requests for you yet, can’t remove court records or other public records, and can’t make you untraceable. It’s one tool alongside people who do this work every day.
