What happens during setup
The six short setup steps after you sign up: you, identifiers, security, appearance, a first check and where you stand.
Setup takes a few minutes. Any step can wait: choose Finish later and your progress is saved on this device. Come back to /onboarding to pick up where you left off.
1. You
Your first name, and optionally where you live. Your region decides which privacy law Frame cites for you. You can change it later in Settings.
2. Identifiers
Your sign-in email is already proven, so choose Watch it to have Frame watch it for breaches. Add more emails later in Settings → Identifiers. Phone numbers and usernames can’t be verified here yet.
3. Security
Add a passkey or an authenticator app, so a stolen password isn’t enough to get into your Frame account. If you pick the app, save the recovery codes it shows you. You can also choose Skip for now.
4. Appearance
Pick Dark, Light or System. You can change it any time in Settings → Appearance.
5. First check
Frame checks what it really can right now, like breaches for your email, and readies your removal guides. Anything that isn’t part of this check is labelled so you’re never left guessing.
6. Where you stand
A short summary of what the first check found. Choose Open my dashboard to carry on.
After setup
- Open Removal and choose Search brokers now to look for your listings.
- Open Breaches to see your results and add breaches you know about.
- Open Leak tests and run one with your VPN on and off.
