Verify your emails and other identifiers
Why Frame only checks details you prove are yours, how email codes work, and what happens with usernames, names and phones.
Why verification matters
Frame only checks details that belong to you. That’s what stops anyone from using Frame to look up someone else.
Add and verify an email
- Open Settings → Identifiers.
- Under Add an identifier, pick the type, enter the email address and choose Send code.
- Enter the 6-digit code from that inbox, then choose Verify. The code expires in 10 minutes. Choose Resend code if it doesn’t arrive.
Until you confirm, the address shows Not scanned until verified, and Frame doesn’t check or watch it.
Usernames and personal details
Usernames don’t need verifying. They show Included in scans as soon as you add them. Only add your own: Frame uses them to look for you, never for anyone else.
Watching an email for breaches
On Breaches, a verified email that isn’t watched yet shows Watch it and show results. A paused identifier shows Paused. Not included in scans.
Phone numbers
Frame can’t text codes yet, so phone numbers can’t be verified and aren’t scanned for now.
How many you can add
- Free: 1 verified email.
- Frame Plus: up to 5 emails, 3 usernames and 2 phone numbers (phones once verification is available).
Code didn’t arrive?
Wait a minute and check spam or Promotions, then choose Resend code. Each new code replaces the last one.
